Stone Quarry Wiesa

In 2014 ProStein acquired the bedrock surface mine Wiesa Werk 3. It consists of the 2 surface mines „Tiefer Bruch“ and „Bruch Kühne.“ With regard to the latter one, the company „Kamenzer Granit“ is in charge of quarrying the rough slabs there. In accordance with the closure plan, the surface mine „Tiefer Bruch“ has started to be sealed off and filled as of 2015. On that location we still take material up to waste classification Z1.1. The company Eurovia Verkehrsbau Union GmbH is in charge of filling the remaining surface mine.
